I originally wrote these stories as contributions to the excellent social flash fiction site Ficlets.com. After less than two years of hosting the enterprise, AOL decided to shut it down without reason. Thanks to the diligent work of Kevin Lawver, and the generosity of the Creative Commons license the stories were posted under, the original works have been preserved at ficlets.ficly.com. After having the plug pulled so unceremoniously once, though, I am determined now to keep the definitive set of my own stories here, at my own site, under my own control, though they also appear at my page on ficly.com. I’m not sure if this collection will be added to in the future, or will be broken into subsets and dispersed, but for now it is here, organized a bit. Enjoy.
Stories To Swell One’s Chest With Pride
In the end, how few.
Stories of Whimsy and Warming of Hearts
Also endearing are these light and heartwarming stories
Stories of Murder and Mayhem and Death
Notice how many more of these there are than good ones.
Preludes To Taxi Adventure
Ficlets.com was a stomping ground for warming up for Taxi Adventure.
Preludes to The Broken Jack
Preludes to The Broken Jack flowed less freely.
Stories referencing Victor Storm
Victor Storm, or the idea of him, turned up rather frequently.
A Series Embarked Upon And Abandoned
I worked on a series with another author, but it didn’t catch fire.
The Regrettable Rest
Many of the stories simply wound up not terrible, but not very good, either.
